Every member, professionally verified

Before anyone tutors a student or trains a model on Nortshere, we confirm who they are, what they're qualified in, and that they can actually teach. Here's how we do it — and why it matters.

Why we verify

Trust isn't a feature. It's the whole product.

When a parent books a tutor at 9pm, when a university routes its students to us, or when an AI lab feeds our judgments straight into a model millions will learn from, they're all extending the same thing: trust. Verification is how we earn it before any work begins — not after something goes wrong.

Most platforms verify lightly, if at all. We verify professionally: every educator, rater, and contributor proves who they are, what they know, and that they can teach — before their first session or task. No anonymous accounts, no unvetted "experts," no exceptions.

That rigor is also what makes our AI work valuable. A model is only as good as the people correcting it — and credentialed, verified educators produce feedback that anonymous, generalist crowdworkers simply can't.

  • Protect every learner Real qualifications and safety screening stand behind every session — especially for minors.
  • Guarantee real expertise Subject mastery and teaching ability are proven, not self-claimed.
  • Stand up to compliance Identity and audit trails that satisfy institutions, procurement, and regulators.

What we verify

Six things we confirm about every member

Real identity

A government-issued ID, confirmed against a live selfie. No anonymous profiles — every member is a real, named person.

Credentials & qualifications

Degrees, teaching certificates, and licenses validated against the issuing institutions and registries.

Subject-matter expertise

Subject-specific assessments confirm deep, current knowledge in every area a member is approved to teach or rate.

Teaching ability

Sample sessions and graded work, scored against our pedagogy rubric. Knowing a subject isn't the same as teaching it well.

Background & safety

Screening proportionate to the role and jurisdiction, including enhanced checks for anyone who works with minors.

Right to work & conduct

Work eligibility, a signed code of conduct, and an NDA covering every student and client interaction.

How it works

The verification journey, step by step

1

Apply & screen

We review each applicant's experience, qualifications, and references before anything else.

2

Confirm identity

A government ID plus a liveness check confirm the real person behind the application.

3

Validate credentials

We verify degrees and certifications directly with the issuers and official registries.

4

Assess skills

Subject tests and a sample session or work sample, scored by senior educators.

5

Background & agreements

Role-appropriate background screening, an NDA, and our code of conduct.

6

Onboard & monitor

Calibration, then continuous QA, learner ratings, and periodic re-verification.

What it means for you

One standard of verification, three peace-of-minds

Students & parents

Every tutor is a real, qualified educator who has cleared safety screening — help you can trust, day or night.

Schools & institutions

Verification and audit trails that satisfy procurement, FERPA, and safeguarding requirements out of the box.

AI partners

Feedback from credentialed, identity-verified experts — defensible, high-signal data your models can actually learn from.

Compliance

Verification built for serious standards

Our checks and the records behind them are designed around the frameworks our learners, institutions, and AI clients are held to — so the trust we extend holds up to scrutiny.
